For our client, an international industrial services supplier, we look for a General Manager Slovakia.

• Full responsibility for the Slovak operation (business, P/L, people)
• His/her time should be focused at the team work (30%) and the rest 70% at business development of the local market plus business development further east (together with the group CEO)
• Understanding of human resource management aspects (must) and an adequate knowledge of the Slovak labor law to be able to maintain the existing team (app 40 colleagues) and a show clear management strategy
• Strong customer focus, team work spirit. Many projects are done in cross-country team therefore mutual cooperation, open communication and support is an imperative

We look for somebody who has grown up to a GM role. He/she has a successful track record and acquired rather general business knowledge. It should be somebody who either have already proven general management experience or successful 2nd line management experience in an international and competitive environment and is now ready to step up to the GM level. We aren’t looking for a top specialist but a generalist being able to run successfully the specialized industrial services business in Slovakia.

We are looking for an independent, decisive, driven manager, who will enjoy and value an independent culture, where objectives are periodically agreed and checked, but in between there is a fair amount of freedom based on mutual trust.

• App. 15 years of experience in an international, competitive environment
• Team management experience is a must
• Very good technical understanding and commercial mind
• Project management experience including cross country project management experience is a plus
• Good overview of the international markets and trends
• Able to work in multi-cultural environment, with focus on team work and customer satisfaction
• Adequate understanding on financial aspects and bookkeeping
• Result driven

• Self driven, team leader, communicative, diplomatic, able to sustain pressure
• Manager with dignity and self-confidence
• University degree in technical or commercial field
• Fluent Slovak or Czech and English, active Russian is of advantage
